Eugene Orlando, Jr., Shareholder

Eugene Orlando, Jr. concentrates his practice in the areas of Real Estate, Business and Commercial law, Bankruptcy, Municipal and Zoning law, Wills, Estates and Elder law, including litigation related to these practice areas in all State and Federal courts. He represents many small businesses both in establishing new business enterprises as well as representing buyers and sellers of business and real estate interests. He also serves as President of Berks County Abstract Company, a full service title insurance agency providing real estate title insurance services to all personal and business clients of Roland and Schlegel. He also serves as Solicitor for Maidencreek and Bethel Townships, and as Solicitor for the Brecknock, District, Hereford and Robeson Township Zoning Hearing Boards.

Mr. Orlando is a graduate of The Hill School (1970), the University of Pittsburgh (B.A. English 1973), Western New England School of Law (J.D. 1978), and New York University (LlM taxation 1983). He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania (1978), United States District Court Eastern District of Pennsylvania, (1978), United States Court of Appeals, Third Circuit (1979), and United States Supreme Court (1985). He is a member of the Berks County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations and National Lawyer's Association. He served as Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Berks County Bar Association from 2000 to 2003. He previously served as Chairman of both the Tax Section and the Bankruptcy Section of the Berks County Bar Association.

Active in community affairs, Mr. Orlando previously served on the Board of Directors of the Boyertown Area United Way and was Campaign Chairman as well as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors in 1990. He also served as Dinner Chairman of the Good Scout Dinner for the Hawk Mountain Council, Boy Scouts of America in 1992 and was also active for many years in both Cub Scout and Boy Scout troops locally. He has served as a member of the Advisory Board of the Office for Social Action for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Allentown serving as Board Chairman for the last two years. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Sixth Station Ministry, a homeless outreach.
